Rock&Pop: Why do people say Lady Gaga copies Madonna?

It's all well and good to have influences, and to even let them show. But Lady Gaga doesn't come off as influenced as much as she's just repeating a lot of the same stuff. Her most common outfit on stage is a black bra, black underwear with nylons. Madonna has been wearing that same outfit since 1990. And the bright blonde hair in a pony tail doesn't draw any less comparisons. As for the music, it sounds exactly like anything Madonna did in the early '90s. And her videos have all these androgynous guys dancing together...again, something Madonna did years ago. If people wanna like Lady Gaga's music, that's fine. But I think people who appreciate real artists kinda resent Lady Gaga being called a "genious" and "ground breaking" when it's really stuff we've been hearing for a long time now.
